Potato dumplings
Traditions never go out of style. A good Norwegian dinner is always a success!
Simple
Mixing ratio:
0.5 kg potato dumpling flour and approx. 6 dl water*
Makes approx. 8-10 potato dumplings

1.0 kg potato dumpling flour and approx. 13 dl water*
Makes approx. 18-20 potato dumplings
---------------------------------------
*The amount of water can be adjusted based on the desired consistency. More water will make the dumplings softer, while less water will make them firmer.
Instructions:
Let the mixture rest for approx. 10 minutes. The potato dumplings should simmer in broth for approx. 1 hour. It is important that the water is boiling when the dumplings are added to the pot.
Serving suggestion:
Cook salted meat for 1 hour, then add the potato dumplings. Simmer the meat and dumplings together for 1 hour. Side dishes: Sausages, carrots, fried bacon, kale, (or mashed rutabaga). Potatoes and onion butter can also be used as sides. Good luck with a traditional and hearty meal!
